Marijuana is used as an illegal drug. It is also commonly known by the name of Cannabis or Ganja. It is basically a psychoactive product of the plant called Cannabis sativa. The main biologically active chemical compound in this is Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), commonly known as THC. It is green or gary in color and is dried form of flowers and leaves of Cannabis sativa plant.It is used for religious, recreational or spiritual and also for medicinal purposes. It had been used byu humans since 20th century. Most of the countries has prohibited the use of Cannabis. It is grown only on permission of law.
Marijuana is also used in medicine (one of its synthetic form) for treatment of cancer and AIDS. CBD (cannabidiol) is found in marijuana which is used for inhibiting growth of cancer cells in animals. Medical marijuana is also used for pain relief or analgesia. It is also used for treatment of neurological diseases like epilepsy, and bipolar disorder and for movement disorders.
Marijuana is consumed usually by smoking or by ingestion and has physiological and psychoactive effect. It is prepared in many forms for consumption by humans: marijuana or ganja, Hashish or charas, Kief, and Bhang. Its smoke contains some of the cancer-causing components. Its short-term effects include memory loss, distorted perception, low problem solving ability, loss of motor coordination, increased heart rate, dry mouth and throat and anxiety.

The people affected with the ill-effects of drugs like Marijuana need rehab centers for their proper treatment. This will ensure their lifetime recovery against drugs.
