Ecstasy

Ecstasy is one of the most harmful drugs used by youth today. Adverse effects of Ecstasy include involuntary teeth clenching, a loss of inhibitions, transfixion on sights and sounds, rapid eye movement, fever, chills or sweating, nausea chills and/or sweating, blurred vision, increases in heart rate and blood pressure, as well as seizures, etc. It is taken by people mostly at parties but it can lead to severe dehydration and hyperthermia or dramatic increases in body temperature. It can cause muscle breakdown and kidney, liver and cardiovascular failure. The after effects of Ecstasy are sleeping problems, anxiety and depression. Its long-term effects include memory loss, damage of cells that produce serotonin and it can lead to problems related to mood, appetite, pain, learning and memory.
