SAMHSA is located in north Rockville at the corner of Shady Grove road. The substance abuse and mental health services administration (SAMHSA) is the agency of U.S Department of Health and Human Services. It was created as a services agency to focus attention, programs and funding on improving the lives of people. SAMHSA is working for those people who are having mental and substance use disorders.
They provide different types of programs to their patients. They provide practical guidance for parents and children to understand the harmful affects of drug abuses. They promote to change the life style of the patients and their families. They provide substance abuse treatment to substance abuse addict people. They try to understand the addiction type of the patients and than send him to appropriate program for their addiction.
They want to give their client a fulfill life which includes a job, a home, a meaningful relationships with family and friends. SAMHSA has some publications in which the person can found information upon drug and alcohol abuses, treatment programs offered by the centers.
